Taste Week at work: organising a tasting at the office
Taste Week in brief
The Semaine du goût takes place every year in mid-October and invites people to discover products and craft. At the office, a tasting break starts at €6 excl. VAT per person, which is €149 excl. VAT delivery included for 20 people; the cheese station is quoted on request.
A juice tasting
The simplest format: line up four or five Alain Milliat juices and nectars, apple, orange, apricot, peach, tomato, alongside the orchard apple juice from the Yvelines, and taste them blind. Everyone notes their favourites, and the names are revealed at the end. Small glasses are enough: a litre of each goes round a team of twenty.
The aged cheese station
To go further, the cheese station is set up in your offices: comté, goat cheeses, blue cheeses and bloomy rinds cut to order and explained to anyone who wants to know more, with artisan breads, honey and seasonal fruit. Set-up and clearing away included.
Sweet things from artisans
For the sweet side, go for signed pieces: macarons by Pierre Morel, with Italian meringue shells, cream puffs by Philippe Urraca, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, very thin cookies by Laura Todd. Order until 2 pm the day before, delivered from 6:30 am across Paris and Île-de-France; from 50 people, or across several sites, 48 hours' notice is recommended.
