The best macarons in Paris for a corporate event
Pierre Morel, Pierre Hermé, Ladurée, Jean-Paul Hévin: our selection of the best macarons in Paris, the criteria for a good macaron and the budget for 10, 20 or 50 guests.
For a corporate event in Paris, the most renowned macarons come from a few houses: Pierre Morel, whose box of 24 we deliver, Pierre Hermé, Ladurée and Jean-Paul Hévin. The shops sell over the counter; for delivery to the office from 6:30 am with a company invoice, go through a caterer. Allow 2 to 3 macarons per person if they are the main item, 1 to 2 if they accompany a breakfast or a cocktail reception.
Where to find the best macarons in Paris? Our selection
1. Pierre Morel, the macarons we serve
Transparency: these are the macarons on our menu, so our opinion is not neutral. Pierre Morel is a pastry chef in La Gacilly. His macarons are made with Italian meringue, with shells containing 33% almonds, with no artificial flavouring or preservatives. Our box of 24 pieces costs €64 excl. VAT and brings together 12 flavours: coffee, salted butter caramel, blackcurrant with a blueberry centre, dark chocolate, lemon, strawberry, raspberry, passion fruit with a raspberry centre, yuzu, pistachio with a raspberry centre, almond hazelnut praline, calamansi with a red berry centre.
2. Pierre Hermé, the Ispahan
The pastry chef has made the macaron his field of creation. His Ispahan combines rose, lychee and raspberry; his Mogador, milk chocolate and passion fruit. On his website, boxes range from €16 (4 macarons) to €116 (40 macarons).
3. Ladurée, the house on rue Royale
Louis-Ernest Ladurée opened a bakery in the Madeleine district in 1862. The house presents the double-shell macaron as its icon. Its historic tea room at 16 rue Royale reopened in July 2024 after renovation.
4. Jean-Paul Hévin, the chocolatier's macaron
A renowned chocolatier, Jean-Paul Hévin sells his macarons alongside his chocolates, notably in his shop at 231 rue Saint-Honoré (1st arrondissement), set in an inner courtyard, according to Gault&Millau. The right choice if your team prefers chocolate flavours.
How to recognise a good macaron?
- A smooth, shiny shell, with an even frilly "foot" at the base.
- A first bite that barely cracks, then a soft inside.
- A generous filling: ganache or cream should be visible from the side, not just a thin line.
- Clear flavours: the lemon should be sharp, the pistachio should taste of pistachio.
- A short ingredient list: almonds, sugar, egg whites, and as few additives as possible.
- Allergens: our macarons are gluten-free but contain tree nuts and eggs. For someone very sensitive to gluten, check the risk of cross-contamination.
How many macarons to plan and for what budget?
Detailed quantities by context are in our guide how many macarons to order for a corporate event. For a quick budget, the calculation below takes 2 macarons per person, with the box of 24 at €64 excl. VAT and delivery at €29 excl. VAT:
| Guests | Macarons needed | Boxes of 24 | Calculation | Total excl. VAT, delivery included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 20 | 1 | 1 × €64 + €29 | €93 |
| 20 | 40 | 2 | 2 × €64 + €29 | €157 |
| 50 | 100 | 5 | 5 × €64 + €29 | €349 |
Alongside a breakfast or a cocktail reception, 1 macaron per person is enough: one box then covers around twenty people.
