For 20 people, allow €155.80 excl. VAT per snack delivery: 2 fruit baskets and 20 madeleines, including €29 excl. VAT delivery, i.e. €7.79 excl. VAT per person. One delivery a week comes to €623.20 excl. VAT per month, one delivery every two weeks to €311.60 excl. VAT.
Which snacks should you deliver to employees at the office?
Six products in the catalogue cover office snacks: whole fruit, madeleines, cookies, farmhouse yoghurts, chouquettes and pastries. The table gives the quantity per person, the pack size and the cost for 20 people, excluding €29 excl. VAT delivery.
| Product | Time | Per person | Pack size, price excl. VAT | For 20 people |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seasonal fruit basket | All day | 1 fruit | 10 to 12 fruits, €38.90 | 2 baskets: €77.80 |
| Signature madeleines | 4 pm break | 1 (2 if served alone) | 20 pieces, €49.00 (8 to 12 people) | 1 box: €49.00 |
| Assorted cookies | 4 pm break | 1 | 6 pieces, €17.90 | 4 boxes: €71.60 |
| Farmhouse yoghurts | Morning or midday | 1 | 6 pots, €14.90 | 4 boxes: €59.60 |
| Chouquettes | Coffee break | 2 | 30 pieces, €26.80 (10 to 15 people) | 2 trays: €53.60 |
| Mixed pastries | Morning | 2 | 30 pieces, €48.90 (10 to 15 people) | 2 trays: €97.80 |
The price per piece helps you decide: €0.89 per chouquette, €1.63 per mini pastry, €2.45 per madeleine, €2.48 per yoghurt, €2.98 per cookie, from €3.24 to €3.89 per fruit in the basket. All the products are on the afternoon breaks page and, for pastries, on the breakfasts and breaks page.
What quantity of snacks should you plan per person?
Allow 2 pieces per person per snack break: 1 fruit and 1 treat, a madeleine, cookie or yoghurt. This is the benchmark for our afternoon breaks, from 1.5 to 2 pieces per person for a 20 to 30-minute break. For 20 people, that gives 20 fruits (2 baskets) and 20 treats.
As self-service, count the people present, not the headcount: 1 to 1.5 fruits per person per day, i.e. 20 to 30 fruits for 20 people present, so 2 to 3 baskets, from €77.80 to €116.70 excl. VAT per day. The guide fruit at the office details the formats: whole, skewers or cut.
How often should snacks be delivered?
One delivery a week for whole fruit, which keeps for several days, and one snack break a week or every two weeks for treats, to be eaten on delivery. Each delivery costs €29 excl. VAT: a well-stocked delivery is better than a small delivery every day.
- Whole fruit: 1 delivery a week, placed in the kitchen or at reception.
- Cookies: up to 3 days in their original packaging, so deliver them at the start of the week.
- Farmhouse yoghurts: in the fridge, to be put away on the day of delivery.
- Madeleines, chouquettes, pastries: the same day, for a fixed ritual, for example Thursday at 4 pm.

What monthly budget for snacks for 20 people?
For 20 people, the budget ranges from €155.80 excl. VAT per month (one snack break) to €623.20 excl. VAT (one a week), i.e. from €7.79 to €31.16 excl. VAT per person. The reference snack break: 2 baskets (2 × 38.90 = €77.80) and a box of 20 madeleines (€49.00), i.e. €126.80 + €29 delivery = €155.80. 4-week month.
| Option | Calculation | Monthly budget excl. VAT | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 snack break a month | 126.80 + 29 = 155.80 | €155.80 | €7.79 |
| 1 snack break every 2 weeks | 2 × 155.80 | €311.60 | €15.58 |
| 1 snack break a week | 4 × 155.80 | €623.20 | €31.16 |
| Fruit only, 2 baskets a week | 4 × (77.80 + 29) | €427.20 | €21.36 |
| Self-service fruit, every working day | 4 × (2 × 38.90 × 5 + 29) | €1,672.00 | €83.60 |
The last line shows the trap of daily self-service: 20 fruits a day cost €77.80 excl. VAT, €389.00 excl. VAT a week. Most teams choose a weekly ritual. For a simpler budget to set, the afternoon break starts at €6 per person excl. VAT: 20 × 6 = 120 + 29 = €149 excl. VAT.
How can you reduce the snack budget?
Three levers bring the bill down without the team noticing: grouping deliveries, choosing products under €2.50 each, and matching the quantities to the people present.
- Group: a snack break ordered with Monday's breakfast goes in the same delivery and does not pay €29 more. The annual budget for a weekly breakfast shows the effect over the year.
- Choose chouquettes: €26.80 for a tray of 30, i.e. from €1.79 to €2.68 per person depending on whether 15 or 10 people help themselves.
- Count the people present: with 12 people present instead of 20, a single basket at €38.90 is enough for 1 fruit each.
What should you deliver when the team has particular dietary requirements?
The fruit basket at €38.90 excl. VAT (10 to 12 fruits) suits everyone: fruit is vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free. The whole menu is halal and pork-free by default. For gluten-free, the banana bread (5 to 6 people, €21.90 excl. VAT) replaces the cookies and madeleines; our kitchen handles flour, so traces are possible.
What are the common mistakes with office snacks?
- Delivering small quantities every day: 5 deliveries a week cost €145 excl. VAT in delivery charges, against €29 for a single one.
- Counting the headcount rather than the people present: with partial remote working, the surplus fruit goes to waste.
- Delivering cut fruit for the week: skewers and platters are eaten the same day; to spread it out, take whole fruit.
- A single sweet product: mix a fruit, a treat and, every other time, a yoghurt.
- Forgetting the minimum order: it is €50 excl. VAT, and a fruit basket alone at €38.90 does not reach it.
