A Christmas meal at work: how do you do it properly?
A moment that counts for the team
The Christmas meal is often the most anticipated company moment of the year, and the one where expectations are highest. One that lands leaves a shared memory that strengthens team bonds well beyond December. It deserves to be prepared, not ordered in a panic on 20 December.
A dinner-style reception, an afternoon break or lunch trays?
The dinner-style reception is the most sociable format for a team that is physically together: everyone moves around and helps themselves at their own pace. The festive afternoon break, with panettone and cakes to share, suits a late afternoon. The individual lunch tray suits teams working remotely or spread over several sites.
The menu
A smoked salmon and gravlax platter with blinis and lemon-dill cream to begin, festive hot bites, then an artisan panettone and a rolled cake to share. On request, we add foie gras, an artisan Christmas log and Christmas chocolates. A 12-canapé reception costs €40.90 excl. VAT per person. For drinks, everything alcohol-free: a 0% Blanc de Blancs Chardonnay for the toast and Alain Milliat juices.
Ordering ahead
Order until 2 pm the day before, delivered from 6:30 am across Paris and Île-de-France; from 50 people, or across several sites, 48 hours' notice is recommended. Ordering ahead mainly buys you time to confirm the budget, the headcount and the addresses internally, and to choose the menu. Block the date in diaries as soon as the format is decided.
