The best panettone for office festive celebrations in Paris

Where to find a good panettone in Paris for your team's end-of-year breakfast or afternoon break, how to recognise one and how many to plan.

For an end-of-year office breakfast or afternoon break in Paris, a good panettone can be found at a few recognised Italian addresses, such as Sant Ambroeus, the Christophe Louie pâtisserie, Cova or the Pasticceria Simona, and at a caterer that delivers it to the office. At L'Écrin Traiteur, our artisanal panettone of 10 to 12 portions costs €44.90 excl. VAT and is delivered from 6:30 am. Allow one panettone for 10 people.

Where to find the best panettone in Paris? Our selection

1. L'Écrin Traiteur's artisanal panettone

Transparency: this is the panettone on our menu, so our opinion is not neutral. It is a soft Italian brioche with candied fruit and raisins, baked in its traditional golden mould, in a 10 to 12 portion format for €44.90 excl. VAT. It is sliced in front of the team, at the end-of-year breakfast as at the festive afternoon break.

2. Sant Ambroeus, the Milanese classic

At 11 rue Saint-Benoît, in the 6th arrondissement, the Milanese house offers a classic sourdough panettone with candied fruit, sold for €29 in 2025 according to Time Out.

3. Christophe Louie, the specialist in the 3rd arrondissement

At 12 rue Dupetit-Thouars, this pastry chef has made panettone his speciality. The Michelin Guide cites his traditional version and flavours such as chocolate-gianduja, marrons glacés or blackcurrant-vanilla.

4. Cova, the Milanese institution

At 1 rue du Pont-Neuf, in the 1st arrondissement, the Paris address of the Milanese pâtisserie sells the traditional panettone whole or by the slice on site, as well as chocolate or saffron versions, according to the Michelin Guide.

5. Pasticceria Simona, panettone all year round

At 8 rue Mandar, in the 2nd arrondissement, this Italian pâtisserie sells its traditional or pistachio panettone by the slice all year round, and whole to order, according to the Michelin Guide.

How to recognise a good panettone?

  • A stringy crumb: by hand, it comes apart in long strands instead of crumbling. This is the sign of a dough that has fermented for a long time.
  • A yellow, open crumb, springy under the finger, never dry.
  • Soft candied fruit, spread throughout the brioche and not just at the bottom.
  • A short ingredient list: flour, butter, eggs, sugar, sourdough starter, fruit. The longer the list, the more additives there are.
  • A label read before serving: some recipes contain alcohol or tree nuts. Check whether your team includes people who avoid them.

How many panettones to plan and for what budget?

Allow one slice per person: a panettone of 10 to 12 portions therefore serves 10 people, a little more if it accompanies pastries. Calculation with our panettone at €44.90 excl. VAT and delivery at €29 excl. VAT, with a minimum order of €50 excl. VAT of products:

For 10 people, a panettone on its own (€44.90) remains below the €50 excl. VAT minimum: it is paired with another sweet treat, for example a box of 10 Mado Paris madeleines at €24.90 excl. VAT. From 50 people, order 48 hours in advance.
