International Coffee Day: a barista at the office, on 1 October
International Coffee Day in brief
International Coffee Day takes place every 1 October, at the initiative of the International Coffee Organization. The next one falls on Friday 1 October 2027. At the office, it is a simple excuse for a breakfast built around coffee: the Classic format is €8 excl. VAT per person, which is €189 excl. VAT delivery included for 20 people.
A barista in your offices
The format people remember: a barista sets up their machine and makes espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white and teas to order, with plant-based milks. It is quoted according to headcount, duration and power access; set-up and clearing away are included. For a full day of self-service, hiring a professional espresso machine is an alternative.
How much coffee to allow
If you stick to thermoses: a one-litre thermos serves six to eight cups, and many come back for a second cup. For twenty people, allow three thermoses of coffee and one of Mariage Frères tea.
What goes with the coffee
Madeleines baked that day, cookies by Laura Todd, a sliced chocolate babka, a marble loaf cake made in-house. Things you hold in one hand, with a cup in the other. Order until 2 pm the day before, delivered from 6:30 am across Paris and Île-de-France; from 50 people, or across several sites, 48 hours' notice is recommended.
