Pink October at the office: a moment that is simple to organise

Pink October (Octobre Rose) is the annual campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer screening, led in France notably by the association Ruban Rose. Many companies mark the occasion with a friendly get-together: a team breakfast, an afternoon break, or a collection linked to a wider event. It is a simple moment to organise that gives real meaning to a break at the office, in Paris and Île-de-France.

This article covers the practical side: how to put together a mainly pink selection, what budget to plan, and how to organise it without spending hours on it. Find the full details of our commitment on our page Pink October at the office.

Our commitment: €1 donated per guest in October

Throughout October, L'Écrin Traiteur donates €1 per guest served to breast cancer research, on all orders of the month, not only on the pink selections. A breakfast for 40 people means a €40 donation. The total amount collected is published at the end of the month, and the donation receipt is available on request.

Why mark Pink October at the office

✓ A simple, concrete awareness signal

A breakfast or a break in Pink October colours reminds the whole team of the importance of screening, without heavy speeches: the colour and the gesture are enough to carry the message.

✓ A get-together that brings people together

As with any friendly moment at the office, it is a reason to bring teams together around a shared moment, often uniting people beyond their usual departments and teams.

✓ A commitment in figures, not just a symbol

Unlike a simple communication gesture, our €1 donation per guest applies automatically to every order placed in October. The breakfast becomes the starting point of a real contribution, with no extra steps on your part.

A mainly pink selection

At L'Écrin Traiteur, gluten-free options are available on request. For Pink October, our pastry partner Mado has created a dedicated selection:

  • Pink October box of 10 madeleines (€29 excl. VAT), pink glaze and piped decoration by Mado: for each box sold, an extra €1 is donated to Ruban Rose, on top of our general commitment
  • Tray of macarons and red fruit loaf cakes, raspberry and strawberry, for a naturally pink palette
  • Raspberry tartlets, individual, for a light break
  • Red fruit smoothie and Mariage Frères tea, to go with the sweet selection
  • Packaging with pink ribbon on request

We can put together a fully dedicated selection, or add a pink touch to a classic breakfast or afternoon break. See all our breakfast creations and afternoon breaks.

What budget should you plan?

It is a format comparable to a classic breakfast or afternoon break, with no extra charge for the theme, plus the automatic €1 donation per guest. A few guidelines for a team of 20 to 30 people:
